Baseball: It’s playoff time in the VIBL

Get ready for some summer baseball excitement, because the VIBL playoffs begin this coming week, matching the 32 teams in a single-elimination tournament.

And some of the top players in the San Fernando Valley who have been busy with all-star competitions, combines and camps might make an appearance.

West Ranch has the best record at 16-2. Valley North, made up of Chatsworth HIgh players, is 16-3. Simi Valley Royal is 13-4 snd Mission Hills Alemany is 14-5.

Playoff brackets will be decided on Monday night.
