Simi Valley Royal pulled out a 2-1 victory over Mission Hills Alemany in nine innings on Monday to advance to the semifinals of the VIBL playoffs.
Zack Kosinksi drove in the winning run in the ninth with an RBI double. Royal will play at Chatsworth on Wednesday. Chatsworth defeated Saugus, 18-6. Kiefer Kofman had two hits.
El Camino Real advanced to a semifinal game against Simi Valley with a 9-1 victory over West Ranch.
Owen Perry threw a complete game, allowing seven hits. Chris Nicholson hit a home run. Hayden Rappoport, Nick Snyder and Justin Russell each had two hits.
