Baseball: Eight teams left in VIBL playoffs

The VIBL playoffs are down to eight teams, with action scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m.

The matchups: El Camino Real at West Ranch; Simi Valley at Harvard-Westlake; Saugus at Chatsworth; Royal at Alemany.

Lots of promising young players will be on display and get a chance to show what they can do under a pressure situation.

Semifinals are set for Wednesday, with the championship game on Friday at 7 p.m. at Birmingham.
