Track: Remontay McClain is Gatorade state player of the year

Sprinter Remontay McClain from Covina has been selected the Gatorade state player of the year in boys’ track and field.
McClain won the state 100- and 200-meter championships for the second consecutive season and will be racing this weekend at the U.S. junior national championships in Oregon.
He’s headed to Azusa Pacific in the fall.
‘Besides his awesome athletic prowess over his competitors, Remontay is one of the most humble athletes I have ever been associated with,’ Coach Kevin Glaspy said.
