Track: McClain, Gedyon finish third in New York

Remontay McClain of Covina and Elias Gedyon of Los Angeles Loyola came up with third-place finishes in their trip to New York to compete in the Adidas Grand Prix.

McClain finished third in the 100 meters, running 10.59 seconds. The winner was Marvin Bracy at 10.47.

Gedyon placed third in the mile at 4:02.08. The winner was Lukas Verzbicas from Orland Park, Ill., who won in 3:59.71. Jantzen Oshier from Trabuco Hills was fifth in 4:06.51.

A Coach

While both Remontay and Elias are fine young men, and very deserving of praise for their amazing accomplishments, I find it disappointing that Cami Chapus (of Harvard-Westlake) who won the Girls Dream Mile at the very same event was not even mentioned.
