Track: Elias Gedyon goes out in style
Elias Gedyon of Los Angeles Loyola ended his prep career with a fourth state individual championship, winning the 3,200 Saturday in 8:50.03.
That came after he ran a career-best 4:04.09 to fnish second in the 1,600.
He was the only athlete to run in the 1,600 and the 3,200.
Thirteen of the 3,200 runners finished under nine minutes.
Now it's off to Oregon for Gedyon, who will be long remembered as one of the greatest distance runners in Loyola history.

A guy with 800 m speed is going to be awesome in the distances at the next level. I'm looking forward to seeing future meetings between Gedyon and Oshier (representing Oregon and Cal, respectively).
