Track and field: Bishop Amat’s Kylie Price runs second-fastest time in girls’ 100

Bishop Amat’s Kylie Price won her preliminary heat in the girls’ 100-meter dash at the state track meet Friday and posted the second-fastest time overall, finishing in 11.79 seconds.

Clovis’ Jenna Prandini won her heat in 11.60, the fastest legal time in the state this year. Also advancing to the championship race Saturday from Southern California were Rancho Verde’s Ashley Marshall (11.87), Long Beach Poly’s Carisma Lyday (11.89), Ayala’s Brea Buchanan (11.95).
