Football: Serra’s Ford commits to UCLA

Gardena Serra cornerback Raymond Ford has committed to UCLA.

‘I just felt it was the right spot for me,’ he said.

He’s a big pickup for the Bruins because of his speed and consistent play at the high school level. As a freshman when he played for Los Angeles Jordan, he had an interception of Mater Dei quarterback Matt Barkley, now at USC.

‘That would feel good to do it again,’ Ford said.
