Football: Mater Dei’s Todd Hunt gets scholarship to Fresno State

It’s quite unusual for a high school senior to receive a college scholarship this late in the school year, but Santa Ana Mater Dei defensive end Todd Hunt has accepted a scholarship to Fresno State, Coach Bruce Rollinson said.

Hunt transferred from Connecticut and was finally cleared to play last fall by the Southern Section after a court battle.

‘It’s a good opportunity,’ Rollinson said.
