Beware of Glendale’s Michael Davis, a 6-foot-2 junior receiver-defensive back who won the Pacific League 100- and 200-meter championships in track and field as a sophomore. He is a legitimate top college prospect.

At Wednesday’s seven-on-seven passing tournament at College of the Canyons, Davis helped surprising Glendale reach the semifinals before losing to Moorpark.

He showed off tremendous speed, something colleges want. He made some terrific catches, too. Opposing coaches who faced him were raving about his ability.
