Los Angeles Windward and North Hollywood Campbell Hall have played some great basketball games through the years, and now the two rival schools have prized freshmen showing up.

Mason Shepard, a 6-foot-6 freshman, had 17 points on Tuesday night in a Windward victory over Inglewood. Windward also has another 6-6 freshman, Roy Hemsley.

Aaron Holiday, a 5-10 freshman at Campbell Hall, had 54 points in a loss to Simi Valley.

They compete in the same Alpha League with Chatsworth Sierra Canyon, another private school loaded with top young talent.
