Wednesday could be NBA night at Fairfax High. New Lakers Coach Mike Brown received applause from the fans in the bleachers Monday night when he showed up to watch his son, Elijah, play for Santa Ana Mater Dei against North Hollywood Campbell Hall in the Fairfax tournament.

Fairfax Coach Harvey Kitani invited Brown to return on Wednesday when Atlanta Hawks Coach Larry Drew and Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Reggie Theus are expected to come and watch their sons, Landon and Reggie Jr., play for the Lions.

Adding to the NBA connections is that Campbell Hall’s point guard is Aaron Holiday, brother of Philadelphia 76ers guard Jrue Holiday, who watched from the bleachers Monday.

Maybe Commissioner David Stern can fly in from New York to make an appearance.
