Boys' basketball: Anthony January appears headed to Taft

Anthony January, a 6-foot-7 forward who left Compton last season after 10 games, has filed papers to attend Woodland Hills Taft under open enrollment, Coach Derrick Taylor confirmed Tuesday in a text message.

If January ends up at Taft and gains eligibility, he'll become one of the top players in the City Section.
