Baseball: Top underclassmen face off this weekend in Compton

There won't be a better all-star series matching top seniors-to-be and juniors-to-be than this weekend's Southwest Future All-Star Series at the Urban Youth Academy in Compton.

Games matching East vs. West and North vs. South are scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The championship game is Sunday at 5 p.m.

It's a who's who of top players expected to participate, including Mater Dei's Ty Moore, Chatsworth's Raul Camas, Harvard-Westlake's Lucas Giolito and Arden Pabst, Hart's Luke Persico, Edison's Timmy Lopes, Bishop Amat's Rio Ruiz, Gardena Serra's Dominic Smith, Alemany's Corey Sims, Valencia's A.J. Balta, El Toro's Tyler Brashears, Servite's Cole Irvin and Westlake's Collin Yelich.
