David Lira struck out Oscar Tinjaca on his 141st pitch, a curveball, to end the game and give San Fernando a 2-1 victory over El Camino Real in 10 innings at USC in the City Section Division I semifinal.

It was Lira’s 11th strikeout of the game. El Camino Real got just three hits. Jose Reyes’ RBI double in the 10th put the Tigers on top, 2-1. San Fernando will play Chatsworth in Saturday’s 2 p.m. final.
