June 15, 2011 | 10:06 am

The California Baseball Coaches' Assn. North-South Series is set for Saturday and Sunday at San Diego State.

Here's the local players selected for the South: INF_John Schuknecht, Palm Desert; Dallas Bacon, Hart; Cody Ramer, Simi Valley; Dennis Morton, Temecula Valley; 1B_Gabriel Clark, North; Jackson Willeford, Ramona;  C_Rawley Hughes, Foothill; Collin Yelich, Westlake; P_Tim Borst, Tahquitz; Zachary Jemiola, Great Oak; Bowdien Derby, La Salle; Brooks Kriske, Palm Desert; Anthony Shew, Mission Viejo; Gabriel Corniel, Narbonne; OF_Chris Nicholson, El Camino Real; Nick Vigo, Simi Valley.

The big surprise is Corniel, a pitcher from Narbonne who impressed Simi Valley Coach Matt La Belle, who's coaching the South team. "He's a left-hander with all kinds of movement,' La Belle said.
