Baseball: Mission Viejo takes 3-0 lead

Austin Saenz, a scoring machine for Mission Viejo, got on base after an error to start the game and came home on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Raslowsky to start a three-run first inning against Etiwanda in the Southern Section Division 2 final at Dodger Stadium. It was the 49th run scored by Saenz this season.

Boog Powell scored on a single by Parker Anderson that went off the glove of shortstop Jake Galloway on a pop fly to short left field. Jake Kuluris followed with a double, and a balk by pitcher Justin Davis scored Anderson for a 3-0 lead.

It was the 49th run scored this season by Saenz.
