Mission Viejo (23-13) put together a season-ending seven-game win streak that culminated Thursday night with a Southern Section Division 2 championship at Dodger Stadium. The Diablos beat Etiwanda, 6-2. It’s the first baseball title in school history.

Cal State Fullerton-bound pitcher Willie Kuhl, one of eight senior starters, limited the Eagles to four hits while striking out seven and walking two. Mission Viejo jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back.
