Baseball: Eddie Alvarez is new coach at Burroughs

Eddie Alvarez, a former junior varsity coach at West Ranch who also served as an assistant coach at Granada Hills under Josh Lienhard, has been hired as the baseball coach at Burbank Burroughs.

He takes over a program whose season was halted when players were suspended for allegedly being served beer by an assistant coach.
