@ Just play the Game. Sounds like youre upset with Simi for some reason. Did your kid get cut then have to transfer to Royal? Kids who dont want to go to Royal and play for the two biggest cheaters in the Marmonte shouldnt have to. Speaking of the two cheaters I heard from a very good source close to your program Ortega is on his way out. Whos gonna roll your bats now?

Interesting....see this is how it works......the CIF SS has rules that the coaches are supposed to operate under. The assistant coaches at Simi High don't operate under the rules.....one of the rules is that the coaches are not to exert undue influence by being on the field with middle schoolers during the High School League season. The most effective recruiting can happen when a Simi High coach is coaching a 10U team.....( and using rolled bats ) and making sure that all the kids have Simi hats, shirts, shorts...etc......In the past, the Simi coaches have contacted kids that were supposed to go to Royal...and coerce them to go to Simi....thus breaking the rules.

Lets just play the game but lets play it fair and safe. All this talk about Simi recruiting if youre a Royal guy you might want to keep quiet. You dont want anybody looking into your recruiting class this year. How does an 8th grader end up on your summer team? Everyone knows Royal played the 2010 season with juiced bats. The Royal catcher in 2010 used a rolled bat. That same catcher was Coach Ortegas guy. I keep hearing about all the time they spent hitting. You mean to tell me the coach didnt know what was going on with the bat? How much time did they spend hitting the tree to break in the bat?

how is coaching a 10u travel team recruiting, its not like they are coaching a 14u team where 10 kids are all going to chaminade or already are there, who is really getting hurt here is royal

Rolled bats ?? Really.....if that is the issue....Simi has coaches out there on a 10U travel team using a rolled bat. When confronted, the coaches of the 10U team make no apologies, and admit the bat is rolled to other parents on the team. Wow !!! Aren't there rules about High School coaches having undue influence on 'middle schoolers '...???? It is laughable that the Simi coaches even speak.....recruiting at such a young age.....
My advice....Just play the game.

I was at the game. Two bats. One was a BBCORE that the paint was chipping off and the umpire suggested that since Royal had another identical bat they wouldn't use the chipped paint one and the other bat was a waiver bat that the coach didn't have the paper work on because the umpires during league use to carry the waiver bat list, but not in the play offs. You same people are still up set that a team with less talent beats other teams with all the D1 and high profile players. All schools are using the same bats.

Ortega and Royal dont cheat? Why did they have 3 bats ruled illegal in a playoff game this year?

Cody Ramer of Simi Valley High and Alex Daley of Westlake High are the player and pitcher of the year, respectively, for the Marmonte League baseball team.
Westlake's Zach Miller is the coach of the year.
Named to the all-league first team were: Alex Rubanowitz, Calabasas; Spencer Dubois and Matt Higginbotham, Moorpark; Taylor Zander, Dominic Lovullo and Luke Eubank, Newbury Park; Nick Kinsman and Ryan Tinkham, Royal; Reese Schmidt and Nick Vigo, Simi Valley; Avondre Bollar, Thousand Oaks; Michael Miller, Luke Dykstra and Collin Yelich, Westlake.
Members of the second team are: Ryan Kort, Blake Yuckert and Zak Daniels, Westlake; Daniel Delaney and Peter McAfee, Thousand Oaks; Branden Grieger and Dylan Alexander, Simi Valley; Scott Hockenberry, Royal; Joseph Christian and Danny Keller, Newbury Park; Matthew Corcoran, Moorpark; Anthony DiCosimo and Jacob Fields, Calabasas; Mark Seyler, Agoura.
Honorable-mention selections were: Colton Waltner and Daniel Barnett, Newbury Park; Nick Murphy and Justin Greco, Royal; Jacob Woolley, Jordan Guerrero and Blake Barnes, Moorpark; Samuel Ross, Calabasas.
Agoura's coach Cordero must have missed the meeting. Even though the team underperformed he had 3 D1 commits that didn't even get Honorable Mentions. WEAK

there are no district lines in simi, and simi's best pitcher kicked himself off

Baseball 2012 already?
Good hire at TO, if he can stop all his good players from their youth leagues from going to Westlake. Newbury park might put it together if the pitching coach keeps his temper under control. Kids don't want to play for a coach like that. How good would Royal be if two of the top players at Simi that live in the Royal district didn't get recruited by Miles to travel across town to Simi. If you can't coach recruit. They seem to take the Chaminade approach. Best pitcher gets kicked off team before the playoffs because he has a problem with the coach. I think the kids got a point. Agoura was much improved and keeps getting better. The parents keep that program from growing. How many times can they dig up dirt when their not happy with their sons playing time. It is hard to coach when you are under a microscope. Moorpark has had the best talent in the league for several years. Deep playoff run in 2011. Calabasas has a nice coach with little support and help. That team would win a city title. When the Westlake Coach just watches his players play they are much better team. You have all the talent, just keep out of the way. Simi and Newbury Park followed by Westlake in 2012.

If that is true good hire for Thousand Oaks. Reitz was terrible trust me Cordero is an upgrade at Agoura. As far as league predictions it is way to early. I follow this league as closely as anyone and here are a few things I see. Simi will be very good and the playoff run will payoff. Newbury and Westlake should be right with them. The Dykstra kid is special and Newbury will be tough to pitch against. Royal can swing it in the middle of the lineup. I know Coach Ortega very well and he would never cheat or allow his players to cheat. Lets just wait and see what theses teams do this summer and fall.

Zach Miller of Westlake coach of the year. I read Geisler will be the new Thousand Oaks coach, any thoughts? No Agoura players on the first team great job coach, maybe Reitz wasnt so bad. I know its way to early but heres my forecast for next season.
1 Simi Valley: Vigo, Ramer, Schmidt. Should be the favorite.
2 Westlake: Returns alot but they played over their heads.
3 Newbury: First place talent again usually equals 3rd place for them.
4 Moorpark: By default.
5 Royal: No pitching, Ortega better get busy rolling.
6 Agoura: Cant get it right when hiring coaches.
7 T.O.: Nicest field in the league.
8 Calabasas: Needs to get out of this league.

All the coaches vote and they cant vote for their own guys, apparently Danny Keller wasn't a first team guy in the eyes of the coaches. Prob was chosen for the second team, also if you didn't notice that they can care less about position. Other than pitcher of the year

Where the heck is Danny Keller?
