The BEST ss did make the team - canjura! but you are right sometimes other good players don't due to limited space.

Coachin 'em up - News flash - Vasquez is from San Fernando, not Wilson. And they do not win it all without Vasquez OR Lira

hsbaseballfan - agreed about Ryan Cruz from Kennedy and Reyes; Camas is the 10th grader Meusborn brought up before their tourney in the O.C., hit like .400+ and hit a long triple at D.S.

Berger from Taft, Torres from Birmingham, Brown from Chatsworth, and Cardona from ECR were probably the most outstanding players in the City potential-wise, as in who will go the farthest in baseball; however without Vasquez in SF's lineup the Tigers do not win City and they DID win City.

Coachin' em up

there will always be good players left out... there just are more quality players than there are spots on the team

hsbaseballfan: Vazquez was the most valuable player to his team... without him, Wilson doesn't win the title. Other players may have put up bigger numbers, but they didn't win the title.

where is ryan cruz from kennedy? Andrew pacleb from kennedy as you stated the best shortstop in the city? reyes? the winning pitcher at DS. raul camas? who is he? and vasquez as city player of the year? really? just cause hes from the championship team doesnt make him the top player in the city.

Good D-I team but some legitimate questions and statements: Why is Avila from Narbonne not one of the pitchers? Why is Mallon from Kennedy not here? Why is Berger from Taft, a D-I guy going to Arizona not on this team? Finally, Camas from Chatsworth is a sophomore.

There should be 5 Pitchers, 5 OF's, 5UT's, 3 catchers and 5 infielders, plus the Player and Pitcher of the Year (Vasquez and Lira) for a section this large, to recognize the legitimate top-notch ballers.
