Track: Southern Section championships are Saturday

The Southern Section track and field championships are set for Saturday at Cerritos College. Field events begin at 11 a.m., running events at 1 p.m. The last running event is scheduled for 8:50 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for students. Parking is $5.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame is bidding for its eighth Southern Section championship in Division 3 in 10 years. Los Angeles Loyola is seeking its fourth consecutive Division 2 title.

Remontay McClain of Covina, the reigning state champion in the 100 and 200, will get to show off his speed in both events.
