Track: Dorsey’s Hall leads 100-meter qualifiers

Los Angeles Dorsey wide receiver Marvin Hall showed off his speed at Thursday’s City Section track and field prelims at Birmingham, leading all qualifiers in the 100 with a time of 10.93. Terrence Hall of Faifax was next at 11.21.

Santee’s Omar Cortes was the top qualifier in the 1,600 at 4:23.78 and the 3,200 in 9:46.56. Birmingham’s Chris Mitchell led qualifiers in the 400 at 48.94 and the 200 at 21.94.

Lexis Lambert of Woodland Hills Taft was the top girls’ sprinter, leading the 100 at 12.25 and the 200 at 24.87.

Taft’s Laurie Henigan dominated in the hurdles, leading the 100 lows in 14.92 and the 300 hurdles in 44.79.

The championships are set for next Thursday at Birmingham.
