Swimming: Loyola, University win Division 1 championships

Los Angeles Loyola and Irvine University won the Southern Section-Ford presented by Farmers boys’ and girls’ Division 1 swim championships on Friday.

Loyola set eight school records in winning its first Division 1 title. Britt Dalby won the 50 freestyle in 20.40. Peter Kropp won the 100 breaststroke in 56.38. The Cubs also won the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.
