The first inductees into the Los Angeles Unified School District High School Sports Hall of Fame will be honored Sunday, June 5 during a ceremony at USC's Town and Gown facility.

Four of the inductees are scheduled to speak: onetime Crenshaw basketball standout Marques Johnson, ex-Locke track standout Valerie Brisco, former Franklin diving champion Sammy Lee and former Los Angeles tennis champion Pat Henry Yeomans.

Among the first inductees are quarterback John Elway (Granada Hills) and two deceased honorees, quarterback Jack Kemp (Fairfax) and pitcher Don Drysdale (Van Nuys).

Here's a link to the list and bios of the 55 honorees.
