Former Encino Crespi shortstop Trevor Plouffe was recalled by the Minnesota Twins on Friday and hit a home run in his first at-bat. He’s expected to take over as the starting shortstop.

Plouffe was a first-round draft pick out of Crespi. He’s 24.
