Granada Hills and Palisades will be allowed to compete for the City Section golf championships after the rules committee reversed itself and took away a previous ban for the teams playing unauthorized 18-hole matches.

The rules committee will also review whether the schools should be placed on probation, according to City administrator John Aguirre.

The City finals are scheduled for May 23 and the teams competing are Venice, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Granada Hills, Palisades, Cleveland, Kennedy and Narbonne.
