It was quite an ending for the UCLA-California baseball game on Saturday, and three former Newhall Hart players were involved.

Trevor Bauer was on the mound for UCLA, pitching to his former Hart teammate, Devon Rodriguez. Playing second base was Trevor Brown, another ex-Hart player. And first baseman Dean Espy has Hart ties, being the cousin of former Hart player Mike Espy.

With the tying run on second, Rodriguez hit a hard ground ball to first baseman Espy. The ball ended up in the hands of Brown, who flipped it to Bauer to just nip Rodriguez at first, ending a 2-1 UCLA victory.

Then both teams exchanged words on the field. Blame it on the Hart contingent.
