In a terrific duel of pitchers, Tesoro’s Kagan Richardson came away with a 2-1 victory over El Toro’s Tyler Brashears, ending El Toro’s 12-game win streak.
Richardson threw a five-hitter. Brashears threw a six-hitter. Connor Spencer’s sixth-inning home run off Brashears was the key blow.
Tesoro (18-12, 7-4) pulled to within a game of first-place El Toro (23-7, 8-3) in the South Coast League with one game to play.
