Senior pitcher Brandon Hirschberger struck out 13, walked one and gave up three hits to help Santa Monica remain unbeaten in the Ocean League with a 7-1 win over Inglewood. Santa Monica is 8-0.
Lake Forest El Toro earned its 12th consecutive victory after beating Anaheim Esperanza, 8-5. Cole Tomlinson had two hits and two RBIs.
Brooks Kriske improved to 9-1 after throwing five shutout innings in Palm Desert’s 17-0 win over Arlington. Ryan Garvey went four for four with two doubles and a triple. Palm Desert is 23-4.
Steven Karkenny got the victory and Christian Lopez the save as Chatsworth defeated Calabasas, 2-1.
Simi Valley Royal defeated Sun Valley, 12-1. Freshman Chris Kovach picked up his third win of the season. Nick Murphy was three for three. Griffen Mullen had three RBIs.
In the Trinity League, Santa Ana Mater Dei stayed one-game ahead of JSerra with a 7-0 victory over Anaheim Servite.
