The City Section seeding meeting is scheduled for Wednesday morning, and pairings will be posted here soon after 11:30 a.m.

The only thing certain is that Chatsworth will be seeded No. 1 in Division I for the eighth time in the last nine years.

After that, the seeding committee will have to use a coaches’ poll and RPI ranking system to try to place teams in order for a 20-team tournament that begins on Friday with wild-card games.

All six West Valley League teams are likely to get playoff berths. The battle for the No. 2 seed should be among Kennedy, San Fernando, Banning and San Pedro.

Being a top four seed has lost a little of its importance because this year, the semifinals will be played at USC instead of the higher seeded team hosting the semifinal.

The championship game is set for June 4 at Dodger Stadium.
