Baseball: El Toro wins its 10th in a row

Garrett Mundell (8-0) threw a three-hitter to help Lake Forest El Toro defeat San Clemente, 7-0, for its 10th consecutive victory. Gavin Collins and Daniel Conmy hit home runs. Ryan Joyce had three hits.

In the Trinity League, JSerra defeated Orange Lutheran, 3-0. Keaton Siomkin threw a four-hitter and struck out 10.

In the Foothill League, West Ranch defeated Newhall Hart, 4-3. Ryan Keller struck out nine to outlast Hart’s Tyler Glasnow, who struck out 12. Matt Blake was three for three. Valencia defeated Saugus, 14-4. Trey Williams had a home run and two doubles. A.J. Balta added a home run and double. Golden Valley defeated Canyon Country Canyon, 9-7.

Simi Valley Royal upset first-place Westlake, 12-1, in the Marmonte League. Scott Hockenberry went four for four with two RBIs. Ryan Tinkham hit a home run. Ryan Blakely threw a complete game. Calabasas upset Simi Valley, 9-3.Alex Rubanowitz had two hits and four RBIs.

Newbury Park defeated Moorpark, 4-2. Danny Keller threw a complete game and Joe Christian had three RBIs. Agoura defeated Thousand Oaks, 4-3, in eight innings. Justin Cana had two hits and Mark Seyler had two RBIs.

In the Pacific League, Burbank defeated Muir, 14-0. Paul Frias had three hits. Elliot Surrey struck out 14 in five innings as Crescenta Valley defeated Glendale, 8-2. Three Crescenta Valley pitchers struck out 20 batters.
