Baseball: Dodger Stadium was a Valley all-star game

Granada Hills Coach Steve Thompson went to the Dodgers-Brewers game Monday night at Dodger Stadium and found himself watching a San Fernando Valley all-star game.

On the mound for the Dodgers was Jon Garland, an All-City pitcher from Granada Hills Kennedy. At the plate for the Brewers was Ryan Braun, an All-City player from Granada Hills. Later in the game, on the mound for the Brewers was Kameron Loe, a Granada Hills teammate of Braun in 1999. And Tuesday, ex-Woodland Hills El Camino Real pitcher Randy Wolf is set to start for the Brewers.

"It's always fun to watch those guys," said Thompson, who coached Braun and Loe.
