The top league races in the City Section will be decided over the next two weeks, and the first showdown happens in the West Valley League, where Chatsworth (5-1) plays host to Woodland Hills El Camino Real (5-1) on Wednesday, then plays at El Camino Real on Friday.

El Camino Real, the defending City Division I champion, will have the reigning City player of the year, Jose Cardona, on the mound on Wednesday. Angel Rodriguez is his likely opponent.

In the Marine League, Wilmington Banning (6-0) plays San Pedro (5-1) on Tuesday at the Urban Youth Academy, then will play at San Pedro on Friday. A sweep would put Banning in good position to win league, though the Pilots still have to face Narbonne (4-2) in a two-game series next week.

In the Valley Mission League, San Fernando (8-0) and Granada Hills Kennedy (8-0) are headed to a regular-season ending two-game series next week on Wednesday and Friday to decide the league title. An expected matchup between All-City pitchers David Lira and Ryan Cruz is looming.

In the Western League, Palisades (8-1) is headed to the league title, having already beaten Westchester twice. In the East Valley League, Arleta (10-0) has wrapped up the league title.

In the Eastern League, Bell (7-1) and Garfield (5-1) play on Wednesday at Belvedere Park to decide first place.
