Volleyball: Mira Costa knocks off Loyola in five games

It was No. 1 Manhattan Beach Mira Costa against No. 3 Los Angeles Loyola in prep volleyball Friday night at Loyola Marymount, and Mira Costa came away with a 23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 15-12 victory over the Cubs.

DJ White had 20 kills and Chris Orenic had 13 kills for Mira Costa. Loyola, the two-time defending Division 1 champions, received 15 kills apiece from Alex Slaught and Nick Porterfield.
