Girls’ basketball: Brea’s Jeff Sink is leaving after 17 years as coach

Jeff Sink, the highly successful girls’ basketball coach at Brea for 17 years, is stepping down as coach, the school announced in a news release.

Brea won 16 league championships, 10 Southern Section titles and four state titles under Sink, who had a 480-74 record.

The school is already searching for a boys’ basketball coach after Bob Terry was let go following 13 seasons as coach.

The news release states: ‘The school anticipates that it may have some teaching openings available for qualified candidates.’

Sink’s resignation opens up one of the most prestigious coaching positions in Southern California girls’ basketball.
