Football: Thadd MacNeal is leaving Lakewood

Thadd MacNeal, who helped make Lakewood a legitimate threat to Long Beach Poly in the Moore League, is leaving after five years to become coach at Carlsbad, according to Gazettes.com.

MacNeal is a graduate of Carlsbad.

It's a tough loss for Lakewood, because he was both a good coach and a good helper to players trying to get college scholarships.
