Football: Equipment grants being offered

USA Football will award $1 million in football equipment grants to youth, middle school and high school programs.

Applications are being accepted through May 17. Here's the link to apply.

High school teams can receive up to $1,500 in equipment. All those City Section schools that complain about lack of financial support, this is your chance to get some help, so fill out the application.

We fund raise year round and are initiating a middle school program from the ground up and were denied a grant, so where is the support and why should I not complain?

Let it be known Juan!

To say complain is implying like its not valid a issue or as if most schools don't fund raise to compensate for their expenses. And so that you know, the City schools only pay for what's mandatory. Officials, EMT's, transportation (small teams gets one bus to shuttle both teams back and forth), and equipment reconditioning because of the liability issues. For everything else coaches and players are responsible for. There have been no athletic allocations specifically for sports since 2007. We appreciate the link, but despise your condescending attitude.
