Baseball: Tesoro gets important South Coast League win

Tesoro moved to within one game of first place in the South Coast League with a 10-0 victory over first-place Dana Hills.

Kagan Richardson threw the shutout, striking out six and walking two. Dana Hills is 5-2 and Tesoro 4-3 in league. Connor Fraser was three for three. Brian Choi had three hits for Dana Hills.

In the Trinity League, St. John Bosco defeated Servite, 7-6, in nine innings. The Braves came back from a 6-4 deficit in the seventh.

Santa Ana Mater Dei (17-4, 8-1) defeated Orange Lutheran, 5-2. Davis Tominaga struck out five in five innings. Ty Moore had two hits and two RBIs. JSerra defeated Santa Margarita, 3-1. Trevor Charpie struck out 10.

Vista Murrieta improved to 16-3 and 8-0 with an 11-0 win over Murrieta Mesa.

In the Camino Real League, Jamiel Robinson went four for four with eight RBIs to lead Gardena Serra past Bosco Tech, 15-2.
