Baseball: Suppan recovering from spider bite

Mike Suppan, the father of Chaminade freshman pitcher Dylan Suppan, is recovering after being bitten by a black widow spider, Coach Frank Mutz said.

Suppan was hospitalized, Mutz said. Suppan is the brother of major leaguer Jeff Suppan.
