David Lira threw a complete-game three-hitter as San Fernando defeated Sylmar, 13-3, in a Valley Mission League game. San Fernando is 19-5 overall and 8-0 in league.
David Garcia had three hits and two RBIs. Freddie Flores had three hits and three RBIs.
Van Nuys defeated Reseda, 14-2. Cesar Carrillo struck out nine in five innings and had a single, double and triple.
