Baseball: Matt Blake has four hits in win over Mater Dei

Matt Blake of Valencia West Ranch contributed four hits to lead a 4-3 victory over Santa Ana Mater Dei in the Anaheim Lions tournament.
Ryan Keller pitched 6 2/3 innings to pick up the victory. He struck out 10. JC Cloney and Gabe Peralta added two hits apiece. West Ranch is 3-0-1 in the tournament.
JSerra defeated Bountiful (Utah) Viewmont, 5-1. Jack Teah and Hayden Cornwell combined on a two-hitter.
In the Babe Herman tournament, Kyle Murray struck out 14 and allowed two hits to help Crescenta Valley defeat North Torrance, 9-0. Murray also hit a home run. Troy Mulcahey had three hits and five RBIs.
In the Coachella Valley tournament, Santa Clarita Golden Valley advanced to the championship game with a 6-5 victory over Heritage. Tanner Swire drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh with a ground out.
