Santa Ana Mater Dei sophomore pitcher Davis Tominaga threw a perfect game on Saturday to help the Monarchs defeat Moraga Campolindo, 6-0, in an Anaheim Lions Tournament game. Later, the Monarchs (12-2) defeated Vista del Lago, 11-1.

Former Mater Dei outfielder Cory Hahn was at the game. Hahn, a freshman at Arizona State, is recovering from a neck injury. The last time he was at a Mater Dei game, he and Ty Moore combined on a perfect game in the Southern Section Division 1 final last season.

Correction: An earlier version of this blog had the wrong first name for Davis Tominaga.
