Lakewood (24-3-1, 8-1) appears headed to another Moore League championship after after a 4-1, eight-inning victory over Long Beach Wilson.

Junior Shane Watson threw a complete game, retiring 15 consecutive batters at one point. Watson and another top junior, Chase DeJong of Wilson, fought it out for a 1-1 deadlock in regulation. Watson gave up two hits. DeJong gave up no hits and struck out 11. Now that’s a playoff-quality performance.
