JSerra has pulled into a first-place tie in the Trinity League with Santa Ana Mater Dei after rallying for a 10-9 victory on Tuesday night.

The Lions won the game in the bottom of the seventh. Nico Darras led off with a double. Pinch runner Parker Johnson went to third on a sacrifice. Then Joey Ponder put down a suicide squeeze, with Johnson sliding safely into home plate.

Pitcher Keaton Siomkin turned in a gutsy performance for JSerra. After giving up nine runs through four innings, he shut out the Monarchs the rest of the way.

JSerra overcame a 9-4 deficit and survived two home runs and seven RBIs from Mater Dei’s Ryan Teel.

JSerra is 19-3 and 8-2. Mater Dei is 17-5, 8-2.
