Baseball: Hart beats Valencia, 1-0

Tyler Glasnow didn’t get the victory on Wednesday, but the Newhall Hart senior sure pitched well in a 1-0 victory over Valencia. He struck out 12 against a terrific Valencia lineup and was pulled in the seventh and ended up with a no decision.
Hart won it in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single by Daniel Dietz.
It was the sixth shutout in 17 games for Hart’s pitching staff, an accomplishment that makes the Indians a team to watch for the Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.
Hart is 14-3 and 5-1 in the Foothill League. Valencia is 12-2 and 4-1.
