Baseball: Crescenta Valley wins in eight innings, 1-0

In the Babe Herman tournament championship game on Wednesday night, Crescenta Valley defeated West Torrance, 1-0, when Elliot Surrey’s single in the bottom of the eighth inning scored Tyler Pollack with the winning run.

Troy Mulcahey threw six scoreless innings and Surrey followed with two scoreless innings. Crescenta Valley improved to 13-1.
