Baseball: Bishop Amat opens 3-1 lead over Esperanza
In the championship game of the Hard 9 National Classic, La Puente Bishop Amat has a 3-1 lead over Anaheim Esperanza after three innings at Cal State Fullerton.
Update: A two-run home run by Adam Alcantara has given Bishop Amat a 5-1 lead after four innings. The Lancers have increased their lead to 10-1 after five innings. Jay Anderson hit a two-run triple. Rio Ruiz, with a 92 mph fastball, threw three shutout innings of relief, striking out five.
