Baseball: Arcadia stays atop Pacific League

KJ Edson threw a three-hitter to help Arcadia defeat Burbank, 1-0, and remain unbeaten in the Pacific League. The Apaches are 18-3 overall and 7-0 in league.

Second-place Crescenta Valley defeated Pasadena, 6-0. Elliot Surrey threw a one-hitter. Troy Mulcahey had a double and home run.

In the South Bay Classic, Woodland Hills Taft defeated Roosevelt, 2-1. Art Chavez threw a complete game. Earlier, Taft defeated Cerritos Valley Christian, 5-3. Jordan Berger hit a home run to break a 3-3 tie.

Corona Santiago defeated Riverside Poly, 10-6. Brandon Martin hit a three-run home run, his fifth of the season.

In San Diego, Reseda Cleveland was beaten by Mira Mesa, 3-2, in eight innings. Woodland Hills El Camino Real lost to Elk Grove, 6-5.
