Girls’ basketball: Rolling Hills Prep up at halftime

Led by freshman point guard Peyton Langston, Rolling Hills Prep has dominated from the opening tip-off and has a commanding 25-12 lead over Redlands Adventist Academy at halftime of the Southern Section Division 6A championship game at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Langston scored nine of the Huskies’ 12 points in the first quarter and added five more in the second quarter as Rolling Hills Prep built its lead to 19 points before the Bulldogs narrowed the gap behind sophomore guard Brianna Felipe, who has eight points.

Redlands Adventist Academy scored only one basket in the first quarter and has made just five of 27 field goals.
